Levi - 1.5

Levi is 1.5! He's climbing on everything. He has figured out how to climb up to get what he wants. He hauls the little stool all over the house. If that doesn't get him up high enough he will drag the little chair around and if all else fails, he'll push the kitchen table chairs around. He enjoys climbing on the couch & climbing back down over & over again. I have also pulled him off of the table multiple times. One of his new favorite things is climbing on the stool in the bathroom and washing his hands. He will pull everything down from the sink (either via the stool or climbing on the toilet) and drag it all over. He's a smart little bugger. He also loves blowing his nose, playing with toilet paper, wiping his belly & sitting on the toilet so he can pretend to wipe.

resourceful

He is really getting into books now. He likes reading before nap & bed time and has his favorites, just like Charlie does. Right now his favorite is "Bambi's Hide & Seek." Every time we turn the page he goes "noooopppe" in a high screechy voice & it kills me every time. He also likes the Little People "Let's Go to the Farm" book. It's a flap book & he pretends to eat the different foods, just like Charlie does. We're about 150 books through the 1,000 books before kindergarten. Not bad for starting in April (and me forgetting to write them down most of the time). His other new favorite phrase is "rub a dub dub" when he's in the bath :)
new fave

of course string cheese & push ups go together
He calls all tractors/skidloaders/implements "choo-choos". This drives Charlie nuts. He will also make rumbly tractor sounds too. His favorite toys are tractors, skidloaders, blocks, balls, books, the tunnel, baskets & boxes, or anything that Charlie has. He has had a blast swimming this summer & has no fear in the water. In true Levi fashion he likes to try to run away when we're in the big pool. But he loves floating on his back, blowing bubbles & going down the slides.

We still have a picky little eater on our hands. Not much has changed here. Fruit, yogurts, breads, carbs, are his favorite. I also discovered he likes cherries.  His favorite veggie is corn and he will eat beans & peas but won't touch carrots or much else. I've resorted to sneaking in things and have a bit of success.  Being able to dip anything in ranch or ketchup greatly increases the likelihood that he will eat it. He's really good with using spoons & forks too but continues to just be super messy when eating.

Toddler attitude is still in full force. The kid can throw tantrums over toys, food, or just not getting exactly what he wants. His main shenanigans besides climbing & shredding are trying to take off his diapers. He will take off a disposable diaper with his pants on and gets pretty mad because he can't get the snaps off the cloth ones.  Sleeping is the same as it has been for at least the last year (!!) and his naps have stretched out a bit again to at least an hour. At bedtime we read books, sing twinkle twinkle & he usually demands to go in the crib with no issues.

Trying to fit in with the saggy pants.
He also still likes people. When he's crabby he will want mom & he likes mom to put him to bed but it's not quite as dramatic as Charlie is. But for the most part, he will go to anyone and be pretty content. He also still likes Daisy (& giving her treats) & Patty.

Also,  a change from last month was that long car rides seemed to go a bit better. That was a huge relief!!
