Levi - 19 months

There are a few major things to note with Levi this month. At his 18 month dr appointment he was 34" tall & weighed somewhere between 27.5 & 28.5#. He wasn't thrilled about standing on the scale and I seen numbers between those 2, I'm not sure what she went with "officially" but that sounds pretty close. He seems slimmer than Charlie was at this age (especially in his face). Other than him refusing to be measured, he did good at the appointment.

1.) The child really needs a helmet. He is always bonking into something. His poor little head is all bruised up, it looks like he attacked himself with markers. His most notable crash this month included tipping the kitchen chair onto himself while Charlie was standing on it.

2.) He has liked his blankie since he was a few weeks old. However recently his obsession has taken on a whole new level. He always wants to drag it around and gets livid if I try to wash it. He's always chewing on the corners and on the tag. That thing is just disgusting no matter how many times I wash it. The other night he got sick in the car on the way home. Charlie & I tried giving him every other blanket we had in the house and each option got a forceful "NO" with the blanket thrown. I finally rocked him & put him in his crib, trying several blankets again. Poor guy just didn't want to sleep with anything else. Finally it was dry so I took it in and gave it to him. As soon as it hit his face he just went "ahhhh," smiled & closed his eyes. :)

3.) He continues to be a picky eater. Last week I made potato soup and surprisingly, it was the only main dish he really seemed to be interested in all week. This is shocking since he usually doesn't like potatoes. He really does love corn, though. The other night he ate his corn first then pushed his plate over and demanded more before eating the rest of his food. We cut him off after thirds. He likes his food separate and will take a part things like sandwiches and eat them all separately. Also on the eating front, he loves sitting in a booster & hates sitting in the highchair with a tray. He will sit at the table in his high chair but loses it if we try to put the tray on.
So happy to be sitting in a booster.

4.) He is just a silly little guy & he's always playing (or hanging on me). I don't remember Charlie doing so much imaginative play at this age but Levi's always zooming tractors & trucks around. He's also still really into books and is pretty particular about which ones he likes to read. . This month, his favorite books were "Farm Alarm" and all of his other farm books. He will sit and read for a long time. So happy to have 2 little book lovers
He really likes babies.

5.) Still bossy. Still always finding things he shouldn't have. Still loves playing with Daisy & Patty. And since we've had some cooler days recently, I should add that he also still likes taking off his shoes & socks every time he gets in the car regardless of how short the trip is.
