- At his 15 month appointment, he weighed 25 pounds. Of course he didn't like his shots but we're done with those for awhile now. He had a cold for a couple of weeks but otherwise looked fine the day of his appointment. The next day he started running a fever & by the end of the week he had his first ear infection. When I took him in, the infection was just starting but we got him started on antibiotics since we were going out of town for the weekend. He loved the antibiotics.
- Animal sounds: puppy, cow, kitty, monkey, snake, & chicken. He also attempts several others, but most of them sound pretty much the same but he makes a different face for each one :)
- For his 15 month questionaire, one of the questions was if he was saying at least 8 words (besides mama & dada) and I didn't think he was but after thinking about it and listening to him, I think he says way more than I realized. He definitely knows what he's talking about. He says mama, dada, up, out, this/that, oh oh, nanna, all done, bye, hi, yes, hot, hotdog (!?! From mickey mouse clubhouse) and some form of daisy. There's more, but again, I can never think of them! His favorite song is twinkle twinkle. He can't say the words, but we've caught him quite a few times singing the tune.
- We also make him sign "please" which is rubbing your hand on his chest. He gets so excited it's usually more a slap on his belly but we know what he means so it counts. He'll also sign more, all done, & thank you.
- Can identify his nose, toes, belly button, ears, hair, eyes

- He's still going back and forth between 1-2 naps a day. Some days he does just fine in the mornings and can make it until after lunch. Other times, he just needs a quick nap in the morning so we just see how it goes. He will almost always fall asleep in the car if we go somewhere in the mornings but just a few minutes seem to be enough. Getting a nice long nap is still touch and go but on the days he only takes 1 nap, he will sleep for at least an hour usually. A lot of times he will wake up but eventually he'll fall back to sleep. Going to bed at 7pm and getting up around 6:15-6:45 most days. The 2 books we read the most before nap/bed are "Jungle" and "Rock a bye Farm". He also thinks he NEEDS his water cup in his crib. Some days we don't let him have it but sometimes it's just easier to let him have it, especially when he flops over on top of it so we can't take it away easily :)
- Wearing mostly 18 month clothes. He has figured out (and enjoys) taking off diapers with Velcro so I have to plan outfits accordingly and I try to only send snaps for daycare. Also, since I buy pretty cheap clothes to start with, the elastic waist bands in all of his shorts are completely shot from Charlie. They still work fine unless he's wearing a disposable diaper, then they slide right off of him. Looks like they'll be done after 2 kids!
- He's just a little sponge. He will follow most of our commands relating to "go get..." or if we say "what to go outside?" he will go and get his shoes. He shakes his head yes or no to questions (and usually gets the right answer!).
- Loves giving kisses much more than Charlie ever did. When it's bed time he makes his rounds to everyone to slobber all of them. Watching him squat down to catch and kiss Charlie is pretty much the cutest thing ever.
- When it's time for a diaper change, he will either get a diaper & lay on top of it OR he will kick, scream, fight, flop & run away. Obviously, I prefer the first option.

- He loves being outside. After the initial sniff over from Daisy they are much better about leaving each other alone. He likes Patty. He also loves pushing the toy lawn mowers & playing with shovels. He loves swinging & going down slides. He has no fear at the play ground! The mosquitoes love him and the poor little guy has had several huge bug bites on his head already this summer.
- The taller he gets, the more he can grab stuff off of the counters and tables. I have to give Charlie lots of reminders about not leaving his cereal bowl on the edge of the table :) He also continues to get into lots of things he should not. The most maddening thing he does right now is get between me & the counter or whatever I am standing by. He pushes on my knees & screams until I pick him up.
- The screaming/screeching....looking forward to that phase moving on!

- One of his favorite new things to do is help put things back in the fridge after meals. He runs back and forth from the table to the fridge just giggling. He also loves pushing the buttons on the washer & dryer & flipping the light switches.
- He loves using a fork & spoon even though he's not very good at it. Eating wise, he's doing better with meat but still prefers crackers, bread, yogurt & fruit. He gets pretty bent out of shape when it comes to smoothies in the mornings too. He usually has fruit and pancakes for breakfast or else toast with peanut butter and then a smoothie if one of us makes one.
- The toddler attitude has arrived! There's lots of screaming & even has feet stomping down. He can get MAD when he doesn't get what he wants. The lip comes out, he stomps his feet & just wails. It's also quite amazing that when we get groceries, we no more than get to the check out line when he is trying to crawl out of the cart to get at the suckers. He just completely flips out. It's so crazy that he knows where we are and what he can have. He does not do this at any other store. We also started giving him a vitamin at night and when he sees someone headed over there he almost shakes he is so excited. Watching him & Charlie wait for vitamins is like watching baby birds in the nest. I told Erik we should just drop a vitamin on the floor and let them battle it out.

- I have no intentions or expectations regarding this but he loves to sit on the potty. Whenever I ask him if he wants to, he runs right into the bathroom. I let him sit on there for a bit but of course he has never actually went. In the meantime, he can just continue to play with the toilet paper & everything else in the bathroom he really doesn't need to play with. Again, I realize we will probably have another year and a half in diapers ahead of us :)
- Earlier this week we finally got the little pool cleaned up. I wasn't sure if Levi would like it but after playing around it for awhile I put him in there and he loved it. He stayed in there for a long time and joined in all of Charlie's splashing shenanigans. He was also laying down, crawling around and splashing too. I'm much more confident that a trip to the pool will be successful now. He's enjoying his baths a lot more now too.
