Yes! It appears spring is here to stay and we are all enjoying the perfect weather days before bugs & humidity. Everyone is happier when there is ample outdoor time.
Pretty
We are in week 4 of our chicken raising-over half way already. They grow and change so quickly, you can practically see them grow. They are not this cute anymore and are almost past their awkward stage as their feathers are almost all in. So far, we have only lost 5 so 99 chickens remain. We will probably keep around 15 for ourselves so that means we hopefully will have 80 some to sell! Levi is obsessed with taking care of them.
Happy
The boys are so, so, so happy whenever they are outside. They have spent hours playing in the sand pile, swinging, playing with the neighbor girl, and finally getting to drive their tractor from CHRISTMAS. There has also been plenty of machinery gawking as everyone gets in the field. We spent a lot of time yesterday watching a backhoe, bulldozer and all other sorts of machines dig tile line across the road.
New toys from Christmas finally getting used.

Old baby swing was broken so of course we got a pink one. She loves it! |
Funny
The boys LOVE having picnics (just eating outside) when it gets nice out. I am all for it because at least I don't have to sweep the floor afterwards :) So the first night they asked to have a picnic, Erik was getting plates ready and they excitedly ran outside with their plates. Within seconds of the door slamming there were screams followed by absolute WAILING because they forgot about Daisy. As soon as they got outside she snatched the food off of their plates. It was funny to us, not to them. They were just completely bent out of shape and we couldn't help but laugh at them. Now, they always remember to lock Daisy & Patty in the garage before any outdoor dining occurs.

He loves smores. Well, we all do. |
Also funny, is this super awesome outfit Charlie wore one day.
Real
A couple of weeks ago Erik was out of town so I invited our friends over for supper because her husband works late that night. Their oldest, Ben, is just a few weeks older than Charlie & their youngest, Lily, is a few weeks younger than Nora. We knew we had to recreate this picture of Charlie and Ben from Fall 2010 (they were 8 & 9 months) with Nora & Lily (6 mo & 5 mo). I hope Lily & Nora grow up to be great friends, too!
Love this pretty/happy/funny/real format - quick and to the point, but enjoyable to read, too. And, the last photo with all the kids' feet - perfection! So cute :)
