the tree

We were planning to go find our Christmas tree this weekend until we saw the forecasted subzero temps. Erik ended up taking a 1/2 day of vacation last Monday so we went on our search. There are not many tree farms open during the week either, but we have been to this place before so we knew we'd find something good. It was snowing but at least not absolutely freezing.   It fits perfectly in the corner. Levi has been leaving it alone for the most part, but we have lost a few ornaments & there's not much on the bottom 1/2 of the tree. I will have to bring the ornament box back up and pull out some of the non breakable variety! We've also got our felt tree back up & are getting ready for an exciting few weeks ahead!
Levi was completely drained from Thanksgiving & slept through the whole hunt/chopping experience.

Looking for the perfect one.

Charlie's favorite.

They had reindeer, too. They were exciting as long as they kept their distance.

A hug that doesn't look like a choke hold.

Coordinating Santa jammies!
