I've got lots of activities in my head for us to do this month to get ready for Christmas. This weekend we got off to a great start!
Saturday we went and picked out a Christmas tree. We started the tradition of cutting our own tree when Charlie was a baby. This year, we went to Crow River Nurseries by Howard Lake. We knew we were looking for a shorty this year so we ended up cutting off the top of a tree (the bottom half wasn't usable anyways). It was kind of drizzly but at least not freezing.
We put the tree up after the boys went to bed on Saturday
night. When Charlie came down Sunday morning he said, "Oh father! Did
you put my Christmas tree up?" (For some reason he is really into
calling Erik "father" right now). We had Caleb's baptism yesterday so
when we got home we decorated the tree. We put it on the floor so
Charlie could reach all of the branches and then put it up on a card
table so that Mr. Destruction can't get at it.
