Here Fishy Fishy

This past weekend we ventured up to Bemidji. One of Erik's fabulous coworkers, Rose, invited us up to her place last year for some fishing and relaxation and we were lucky enough to get invited back again this year. They have a gorgeous house and own some property along a lake with no public access. Friday night we went over to the lake and caught some fish. Charlie hung out with Rose & her 3 kids (who by the way possibly the most well behaved kids I've ever seen). We caught a lot of large mouth bass and some other fish.
On Saturday we went back to the lake hoping to get some more lake time in before the rain. We were lucky to have nice weather, even a little cool sometimes on the lake. Charlie went for a dip in the lake, it was really warm and he really liked it. I was ok with him getting his feet wet but I didn't want him to get his hands full of icky lake water since these days everything goes straight into his mouth.We spent the afternoon on the pontoon and the fishing wasn't quite as good as the night before but we still had a lot of fun. The lake is the cleanest in Beltrami county & was so clear you could see all of the little fishies swarming around the hook.

Charlie did not sleep well on our mini vacay. The pack and play is no longer his friend. He makes so much noise in there, scratches at the side and flops around and wakes himself up. Saturday night he slept most of the night in the car seat where he can be more contained. Add this to lack of naps and we had a very long ride home. He screamed a lot. Even when I sat with him he was not happy but wouldn't give it up and go to sleep. We were all very glad to be home.
