Waylon - 1 month

Waylon is 1 month old already! It seems like it has been much longer than that, maybe it is the definite change in seasons that make it seem that way. Things like Halloween, MEA break, Nora's 2nd birthday  (all October happenings) seem like an eternity ago.

I really wanted to make this happen, he was not a fan.
cant get blogger to flip this around...it also took me several attempts to get thee uploaded for some reason. ugh!

Looking like Charlie's twin here!

You wouldn't think there would be much to report on with a newborn, after all they pretty much just eat and sleep. That is true for Waylon, he does those 2 things a lot. Throw in a few diaper changes and it's pretty much his day in the life. In his first month he is eating every 2-3 hours and generally keeps up the same routine all night as well. He likes to cluster feed in the evenings and will nurse, nurse, nurse before finally giving in for a few hours around 10-11pm. He was in newborn clothes for his first month and newborn size diapers.

After 3 kids, you expect #4 to fall somewhere within what the others liked but he's proving he's his own little person with his own preferences. He does not like to be swaddled, he doesn't even really like the sleep sacks so they have gone unused. He doesn't really like the Rock n' play, but will sleep just fine, flat on his back, on the bed.

He likes to be held, likes being in the ergo or moby, is tolerant of his older siblings handling him and he hates getting his clothes changed. I must also note that he has the loudest little toots. Every time we think he must have a massive blowout but nope, just gas!

One thing he has a particular knack for is waking up the minute it's time for dinner. Of course. At night it seems like no matter what time I decide to go to bed, he will wake up within 2 minutes of me getting into bed. So that is fun...

In 5 days we gained 1 child and lost 2 teeth!
