Nora's first week

We are loving having our baby girl home. She sleeps all of the time. Wakes up and eats and immediately passes back out for a few hours. She was back to her birth weight at her doctors appointment at just 8 days old. Her cord also fell off that day. She also attended her first ECFE class with Levi that night because Levi wanted mom to take him so that meant we all had to go. We have given her one bath at home and she is not a fan, but I don't think she cried as hard as either of the boys during their first baths. She does not like to be swaddled which is very different from the boys. She sleeps with her arms up by her head and gets mad if I try to swaddle her with her arms down.

Charlie keeps asking when she can play...he might change his tune in a few months when she's getting into all of his things :) Both boys love holding her and it's a great motivational tool for me to get them to clean up, get dressed, get ready for bed, etc.

I continue to feel great. Even though I'm getting up quite a few times at night, I fall back to sleep right away so the sleep that I am getting is very good! She has been all over the board in terms of wake ups, some nights it is every 1-2 hours, sometimes she'll go 4-5 hours.  Her longest period of sleep right now is usually from her 5-6am ish wake up until 9-10am. That has been working out very well so far.

Poor sister seems to have a her first cold already. She's had a stuffed up nose & the last couple of days her eyes have been very gooey and icky. I think big brother Levi is responsible for sharing his germs, I try to keep him from touching her face but he loves petting her.

holding her keeps his attention far longer than anything else

he's a really good extra set of hands & holds her a lot

I have a feeling those chicken legs won't stick around for long.

she has the best yawns and sneezes

On our due date - figured I'd still be pregnant!

1 week old

We had her newborn pics yesterday and the photographer posted a sneak peak within the hour on Facebook. So cute!!! I can't wait to see the rest of them. She was wide awake and would not fall asleep for us, I think it is the longest she has ever been awake. We were there for 2.5 hours and probably spent 1/2 hour max actually taking pictures. Haha.
