It's October-- Single Digits!!

We're down to the single digits until d-day. Of course, if this baby is anything like it's siblings we're NOT in single digits quite yet. But it's so crazy to think that a week from now we could very well have a brand new baby!

As of last Sunday (38 weeks) I felt ready. Not miserable and desperate by any means, but ok with where things were at. Definitely ready for all of the unknowns surrounding the birth to be over with but I have tried to let all of that anxiety go and not worry about it since I can't control it anyways! Then throughout Sunday night I developed a sore throat and by Monday morning I was back to willing this baby to stay put. We all came down with pretty nasty colds this week and labor was the furthest thing from my mind. I just DID NOT want to even think about having to go through it feeling so miserable. Not to mention Levi was really suffering as well. I was once again so thankful for my flexible work schedule so I could leave a bit early and take naps on my work days.

We've turned a corner and are feeling better. I tried a neti pot for the first time and I guess I can't say for sure if it made a difference but it was....gross to say the least. And it was better than doing nothing.

  1. Haha, the neti pot is so weird! Glad to hear you are on the mend and can't wait to hear of baby's arrival!

  2. It's so crazy to think that you posted this on Oct 6 AND THEN HAD A BABY on Oct 6! Here I thought you were counting single digit days to baby, when you were really counting the hours. Congratulations! I'm happy you have a healthy baby girl!
