Random Stories

I have a few random Charlie stories from recently that really capture his persistent personailty:

-- Erik needed to run out one night right before bed. Charlie insisted that he take mom's car. Erik agreed but then took his car. Charlie went out to the garage later and noticed and started asking me why dad took his car when he said he would take mom's car. I told him he'd have to take it up with dad in the morning. Well, right at 6am Charlie was in Erik's ear, "DAD! Why did you take your car? I told you to take mom's car and you said you would. Why did you do that?" He just couldn't let it go & we couldn't help but laugh at the whole ordeal.

-- That same day when we were reading books before nap, Levi ripped a page in Charlie's book. I told him I'd fix it but forgot. Again at bedtime, I told him I'd take it downstairs and fix the page when he was sleeping. I think we were busy trying to get organized to go away for the weekend so I forgot again. The next morning, Charlie woke me up by shoving the book in my face he had found on the counter, "Mom! You told me you were going to fix this last night. Why didn't you? You need to get up right now and fix it." There was no getting him to back down so I got up and fixed it.

--We were at the chores farm & up super early as usual. Erik came downstairs & Charlie immediately says "Dad, why are you wearing that shirt?" He replies, "I don't know, because I want to." Charlie's response was, "I don't like it. I want you to take it off."

That's our Charlie :)
