Levi- 8 months

It appears I sort of forgot to take pictures for most of October. Too late now. Levi is continuing to be an excellent baby & is getting quite the personality. We have fun seeing how different he is from Charlie. He perfected his army crawl & is really fast now & gets into everything. His favorite place to go is into the bathroom or to pull out Charlie's puzzles from under the TV. He also gets up on all 4's and rocks a lot but usually flops down to army crawl. He is really close to getting himself up to a sitting position & standing as well. Now that his balance is good, him & Charlie have been taking baths together. Sometimes the water throws off his balance & he doesn't like to sit still so it's not the most successful. He gets really excited when we go upstairs to take a bath though & he loves standing up next to the tub.

Sleep wise, Levi continues to be excellent. He has been going down by 7:30 at night and sleeping until 6-6:30. There were a few nights he woke up here & there but most of the time he chatters and falls back to sleep. We are spoiled. He still takes 2 good naps too. Sometimes at night he will fall asleep while eating or let me rock him, but mostly he prefers to just go in his crib awake. He is quite attached to his blanket too, he likes to put his face right on top of it and fall asleep.

Solid foods have gotten better too. He still prefers to just eat chunks of food and whatever we're eating. I can get him to eat a couple of ounces of puree too. He eats some sort of food with us at home for every meal & usually has some fruit and/or pancakes in the mornings too. He's also still nursing 2-3x a day during the week and takes 3 5-6oz bottles at daycare. He likes to hold his own bottles which is something Charlie pretty much never did. Another race Levi is winning is in the teeth department. He has 2 on the bottom, 4 on the top & on Sunday 2 more on the bottom emerged bringing his total to 8. The bottom ones seem to be tricky for him - he always gets a fever. The top ones don't seem to bother him as much.

Levi loves his mom the most right now. If I am within sight he will throw a fit. Him & Charlie continue to get along really well. Charlie always looks for him first thing in the morning & imitates a lot of what we say. Levi likes to copy Charlie's noises. He makes lots of noises & sounds but I am convinced that he says "ma ma ma ma" and knows what he's talking about.
I just love this sequence of pictures. Such a goon!

  1. That baby boy is bursting with personality. He reminds me of my Timmy, being both an excellent sleeper and a mama's boy. But he wasn't such a great sleeper at 8 months.
