Levi - 7 months

Oh my little Levi! He is not so little anymore. He seems to have hit all sorts of milestones again this month. The biggest one is that he crawls everywhere. He is very fast and gets all over the place, even down the step out into the entry way. The past few days I have caught him up on all fours a few times rocking so I think soon he will be ditching the army crawl. He loves to get into Charlie's toys and most of the time Charlie doesn't mind. We have mother Charlie here to keep track of him. He will tell him, "Levi James. No. No. No!"

He continues to sleep good and wakes up in the best mood just chatting away. He makes a lot of sounds & can be really loud. Cheri's must really wear him out because by 7pm he is ready for bed. That doesn't make for much time to play with him by the time we get home, but that will be changing soon :)

Our time is cut even shorter because Levi is eating supper now & is not a nice clean eater like his big brother was. I barely remember using bibs with Charlie because he wasted nothing. With Levi I generally don't even bother because it does no good. There is food everywhere by the time he is done eating which means he needs a bath every night. I am nervous with the weather turning now that we will have to cut back his baths to avoid dry skin. The floor & his high chair are also covered in food. He still mostly refuses purees (his favorites are peaches & mango) but will eat anything he can pick up with his fingers. The mess comes from trying to get the food in his mouth, but he's still little. It is so funny that he will eat green beans, carrots, peas, or anything really if it's in bigger chunks but try to give him baby food and he will refuse. Most nights he will eat veggie or fruit pieces and then maybe have 1 cube of baby food. He also started having pancakes on the weekends with Charlie & had spaghetti for lunch with us today.

He has started to get more whiney when we are around and he wants to be held. No complaints here. He also squeals with delight when he sees his big brother, when he gets to Cheri's, & when we go up the stairs to take a bath. He's been trying to pull himself up on the bath tub and I'm sure it won't be long before he's doing that. Him & Charlie have been taking baths together and Charlie has taught him how to splash. Levi is a little copy cat already. Just the past couple of weeks we have been able to take him out of the baby tub. Even though he's been sitting up for awhile, the water would really throw off his balance.

A couple of weeks ago we took him in for his "6month pictures" and they turned out really good. I am glad I waited until he was able to sit up by himself really good (that's my excuse).

The other big change for Levi was that we took him out of his infant seat. I can't believe we kept Charlie in it for over a year! Hauling him around in that made my back hurt so we got Charlie a new seat & turned his old one back around for Levi. He is still getting used to it, he can see me driving if he looks up so he doesn't always like that. We are leaving the infant seat in the other car until we decide to buy another seat for Charlie, but we wanted to make sure we liked the other one we bought first. Carseats are expensive! I was hoping to keep him in the infant seat through the winter because it's so much easier to just throw a blanket over & keep him warm but it's nice not having to lug that seat around.
At least someone is interested in the potty

He was chasing the ball Charlie threw under there & was not happy once he got stuck down there.

Charlie does not appreciate Levi playing with his puzzle.

Working on at least 2 more teeth on top which will bring the total to 5.
