Christmas Week

Charlie loved Christmas. He loved entertaining everyone & opening presents. I was impressed by his present opening skills. He would tear into the paper until he could see what was inside. I think he opened up presents every day for a week between presents from neighbors, daycare & family. We took tons of pictures (I don't think I've mentioned I bought a Nikon DSLR 3000 the day after Thanksgiving).

Christmas Eve day we went to Grandpa & Grandma Nelson's. Charlie got a lot of stuff including a sled, snowsuit & a swing. We tried getting Charlie to open his gifts from Santa after church that night but clearly a lack of quality naps left him uninterested.
Christmas morning we attempted round 2 and were successful. Charlie was pumped about his new pants & onesies, walk behind/ride toy, puzzle & book. We packed up and headed down to Wykoff to Great Grandpa & Grandma's where Charlie endured a 6+ hour photo shoot. He got lots of books, a wooden Noah's arc toy, the Little Tikes Farm & lots of other things. By the time we got to Grandpa & Grandma's that night, he was wiped out.
Sunday we had Christmas at Grandpa & Grandma Kappers'. Uncle Ryan & Molly got Charlie a ride on race car, Eeyore & a pull behind puppy. Ryan hopes Charlie will become attached to the large Eeyore so we have to drag him along with us everywhere. Charlie also scored a bunch of clothes, some bath toys, a tractor, a dump truck and more (I can't remember, grr!). Charlie can not get enough of his Uncle Tyler. They both get each other giggling.
Monday we headed back home & had some more presents from Great Grandpa & Grandma Hupf to dig into. When Charlie's First Christmas was all said and done he had a new 18mo wardrobe (yay, no more short pants!) & lots of great toys & books. We brought my old toy box back with us for more storage. Charlie now has a fleet of vehicles & is excited to have some low riders (the one on the far right is still a little too far off the ground). He has spent this week cruising around. The red racer is just a little too lite & he has a tough time staying on it.
