Girls, Girls, Girls

Charlie had another busy week. First, here are his 4 week pictures in his little race car outfit, which is one of my favorites.

We also pulled out the baby bath tub last week as he was getting to big/strong for the little tub the hospital sent home. He seems to like sitting in the water which has made baths much more enjoyable for mommy and baby!

Last Sunday we went to a shower put on my college friends. There were a lot of new ladies for Charlie to meet (or see again). He was a little outnumbered as most of my friends that have kids have little girls. He did pretty well and was awake most of the time, he slept very well that night. Once again he got a lot of new things. It is so fun to get boy clothes. A lot of the stuff he got won't fit him for awhile too so it will be exciting to pull that out later.

I took this picture the morning after the shower. He was pooped!

Our social engagements continued as yesterday we helped Sarah with her wedding invitations. Erik had to go to Kentucky Wed-Friday so we dropped him off at the airport and then went to Sarah's for the day. 65 days til her big day (she got engaged on April Fools day last year)!

And thus began my 3 day adventure as a single parent. Charlie has been pretty good so far and even let me get a few house things done today before we head out for the weekend. It's a little overwhelming trying to plan to be gone for 2 nights, we're defenitely not as "get up and go" as we were a few weeks ago. I have made a list so hopefully I won't forget any baby essentials. We are picking Erik up from the airport and then heading down to my parents for Easter so it will be another Sunday of meeting lots of new people.

And 5 week pictures, I've been trying to catch a smile but they're still random.

Our other big excitement was Erik found a source for us to get high speed internet! The provider out here does not meet Erik's requirements for work so for 2 years we had been using an unreliable, frustrating & usually slow broadband card from Verizon. Erik randomly saw this company's van on the way home from the cities Monday so he called them and we actually have a wireless tower close enough to our house! So far this is much faster and can upload pics way faster without disconnecting 1,000 times. now when we remember the password for our router we used in IGH we will be set with wireless in the whole house! Before I rarely went on the internet at home just because it was so slow but maybe that was a good thing???

Happy Easter!
