Due Date: October 12, 2014.
Symptoms: Not much to report besides horrible sleep. I have had a few days where I've felt a little light headed so I have been trying harder to drink more water. I haven't had much for headaches or ear pressure recently which is helpful. Definitely feel the pulling of things if I get up quickly after sitting down for awhile.
What's different this time: I feel like I'm showing all over, not just in the belly this time. It's weird and I don't really care (and it has not changed my habits at all) but I just feel like my face is fuller. I'm sure by the end of the summer I am going to look ridiculous.
Cravings/Aversions: The DQ smores blizzard is back!!! I don't think this is necessarily a pregnancy craving, they are just delicious. I saw the commercial on TV that they were back so I went to get one and the lady said she doesn't start them until the 1st of the month. So I had to sulk about it and then finally stopped by one day this week to get one. It was every bit as wonderful as I remembered. Otherwise, not much for cravings. I want orange juice all of the time but I haven't made it a point to buy any recently.
Sleep: By far the most annoying thing right now. Pretty much every night I wake up around 2-2:15am. Some nights I am able to fall right back to sleep. Many nights it's 2-3 hours of being awake. The longer I am up, the more angry I get about it, making it even harder to sleep again. I used to try to convince myself I didn't have to go to the bathroom, but now I just go right away. One particularly horrible night, I made 2 trips to the bathroom during my awake time. DUMB!
I miss: Bud Light Lime, Angry Orchard, Honeyweiss, etc. etc at night after being outside.
I am looking forward: SUMMER BREAK!! The best part about working at the school of course is summer break!!!! I will be putting in a few hours here and there but for the most part we'll have all day, every day to enjoy the summer. Even better, daycare was able to fill our spots so we aren't paying a holding fee. YES. YES. YES.
Also, I have lost count of how many people we know who are expecting this fall. It's insane. Kind of like the explosion of babies from late spring/early summer last year.
Best moment this week: The ultrasound. The baby looked perfect and was measuring correctly right down to the day. I can't remember if she said baby was 12oz or 14oz. We got a few pictures, nothing super amazing but good enough. Heart rate was 143.
I'm stressing about: It's summer. One can not stress in the summer. My only major plans this summer involve potty training Mr. Levi, building bunk beds and getting Levi to sleep in his.
Milestones: Successful ultrasound & I'll say feeling movement from the outside.
Movement: Getting stronger & more regular every day. I am convinced I have felt it from the outside a few times but it's hard to tell when you can also feel it on the inside. The baby was so active in the middle of the night one night, that I contemplated waking Erik up so he could feel it.
It's a...: We held strong and did not find out, but I am 90% sure I know. She never told us to look away but I guess we'll see if I'm right. I will be completely shocked if I am wrong. And I'm keeping my thought to myself so don't ask. Well, I'll probably write it down just so that if I'm right I have the proof. Haha.

My sleep has been terrible this time around too! My doctor told me if I can't sleep, she suggests just going with it and getting up to do something for a little bit (if I don't want to try medication). Wishing you some restful nights!
ReplyDeleteWe also didn't find out the gender this time around, but when people ask me if I'm excited for the surprise, my response is only if it's one gender! I have a feeling I know what's coming, but we'll see!
