18+ months

Looks like time has gotten away from us once again.Stats: At his 18-month appointment, he was 28lbs 6 oz & 33". He defenitely knew what was up as soon as we were walking back to the room & he was no longer pleased with being at the clinic. I had my ob check the same day so he was extra confused as to why they were checking out his mama too. Luckily no shots this time, but I suppose we will have to think about doing a flu shot soon...

Food: Starting to be a little pickier with veggies. If mixed with anything he will eat them, but sometimes own't eat them separately. Continues to beg for cheese most of the day. Now that he is back at daycare, I can't get food in him fast enough when we get home. Very good at feeding himself.

Sleep: He is wiped out from daycare & there have been a few mornings we have had to wake him up.

Words: He talks a lot. It's hard to count the number of words he says but he says a lot & is good at pointing out or bringing what he wants. It appears he also thinks, "HUH?" means yes because it's how he answers almost every question. Charlie got 2 signing videos for Easter, one is my first signs & the other is a farm one. He is obsessed with the farm one. He requests it every night by pointing at his wrist (time) & saying something that sort of sounds like "signing time". And he dances & runs & is completely wrapped up in the show. Some of the words he will sign include more, milk, ball, food/eat, pet, dog, chicken (his favorite sign), bird, sheep, shoes, all done, car & snail (random??). It's fun watching him pick up on the new ones.

Daycare: I had a scare after he seemed to hate it for 3 days in August but I figured out afterwards his bottom molars were coming in so I think that had something to do with it. Now he runs right into her house & takes off to play with the cars. He runs just as hard though when we pick him up.

We're doing swimming lessons again on Saturdays this fall because he just loves the water. We've also still been trying to get outside whenever we can but the days are defenitely getting shorter. It seems like by the time we get home and eat, there is very little time before bath & bed time. He loves playing with Daisy, although she usually gets sick of his 2' throws very quickly. He has only gotten plowed over by her a few times.

Never will I ever take my baby to the state fair.....but we had to watch Uncle Tyyyyyerrrr show his calf. We went straight to the dairy barn, to the colesium & back to the barn. The furthest we went was to Donna's bbq stand right outside the barn.

So much for a bath!
