Nora's bday party

We celebrated Nora's first birthday with family. I have wanted a wooden high chair to paint for a long time and Erik found the PERFECT one for me on an online auction. For $2.30 I got this sweet chair (and another old wooden chair)! Erik almost had me convinced to leave it alone while I debated painting it teal or hot pink. Obviously, I chose teal and Erik agreed that it looked awesome. I love it!
I'm not one to get too carried away with party decor, but this was about as crazy as I get. Besides the monthly comparison photo banners, I also made these Faces of Nora banners. I love them so much, we'll be keeping them up for a long time :) We might have to swap out the one where she's crying - Charlie hates it and points out all of the time that he doesn't like that one.
We had a houseful of people and while we could have possibly used the garage to hold people, we didn't get it cleaned up and it was almost too chilly for that.

I also made her tutu using fabric strips. The headband and shirt were from an etsy seller. So adorable!

She really liked the sprinkles on her cake. And when we gave her a spoon, she had fun shoveling in spoonfuls of cake :) She wasn't nearly as messy as the boys were with her cake, she was all business! We also made a cake just in the shape of a 1 with bright blue frosting & pink sprinkles - but no pictures of that!

She was in such a good mood despite no nap and was her usual, happy self!

  1. I still can't believe she is one already! Adorable pictures and great job with the party decor. May have to steal the party hat banner idea ;)
Which seller is her gold onesie from? I want one for Emmy!
