Levi - 6 months

First, here are a few pictures from July I never got around to posting.

He loves the jumper.

We don't even bother putting a blanket down now, he's everywhere!

6 months:
Levi is my busy little boy. Within seconds of putting him down he is on the move. He likes the perimeter of the living room the best because that is where all of Charlie's fun toys are. He also likes to wedge himself up against the stairs. He's starting to push up pretty far on his arms but hasn't mastered all 4's yet. When it comes to rolling, he's pretty fast!

Levi continued to be a happy & content little baby once again. It is so fun to watch him watch & laugh at Charlie. They can really get each other going with their cackles.

One of the biggest differences I have noticed between the 2 boys is that Charlie was ready for solids at 4 months and by this time was eating 2-3 pretty hefty meals a day. Levi has just not shown the interest that Charlie did so I wasn't in any hurry to push him just to have another thing to do at night. When he was almost 6 months old we had a handful of beans left over from supper so I pureed them & let him try them. He was not a fan. We've been doing solids pretty consistently for a couple of weeks now and there are some things he will eat pretty well (avocado, sweet potatoes, apples) but he still doesn't like green beans. I tried carrots for the first time last night and it seemed like he liked those the best of everything, which is something Charlie never did (and still doesn't) like. Next up will be peas and then we can move on the the fruits. I've got apples, pears & peaches waiting for him. He likes to spit it out all over (especially if Charlie is watching/helping) and wastes more in one sitting than Charlie probably ever did in a week.

It used to be really easy to get Levi to go down for a nap but now he likes to fight it. He will be obviously tired but won't give in. I'm not sure if it's teeth or what. By the end of the day we struggle to keep him up until 7pm. He's still sleeping through the night but most nights will fuss a little and then fall right back to sleep. He has been waking up consistently at 6-6:30am and still taking 2-3 naps during the day. He's also still taking 3 bottles at daycare & nursing 3x a day. When we're home, it seems like he nurses more than his 3 bottles.

He also isn't quite sitting up unassisted yet. Usually when I sit him up, he tries to grab something and tips right over. He also tries to flip out of everything we try to contain him in - bath tub, car seat, activity seat, etc. We finally retired the swing because he was just trying to rip off the mobile parts & flip out of the seat. He also makes diaper changes & getting dressed very challenging.

We don't have his 6 month appointment for another week so I will update his stats later but I am pretty confident he is bigger than Charlie was at 6 months!
One of his favorite places to get to. One of these days he will tip it over & be really surprised!

Feeding is much different with an eager big brother always wanting to "help"

Green beans, not impressed.

The most unsatisfied face I've seen from him in a long time.

Check out my teeth!

second solid: avocado. Reaction was better than beans

Still prefers the spoon over food.

These pictures are becoming much more difficult.

This usually happens

Charlie is still willing to participate despite hair pulling
