Baby update

Hello? Anyone out there? I'm sure I have lost the few followers I had during my month plus sabbatical from here. I'd like to think I was busy, I suppose I was but really I just didn't have much to share.

I'm so sick of this cold weather, but who isn't. Unlike most of you, I have a personal heater that runs 24/7 keeping me pretty roasty. The kids are finally starting to figure out that it will always be chilly in my classroom (I have easy access to turning it on/off). I refuse to sweat and work at the same time.

SPeaking of the little bun in the oven, here's an update. A friend who is also expecting started a blog to track her pregnancy for their baby and I think its a great idea so I'm borrowing her little questionaire she fills out.

33 weeks 4 days - although measuring 2 weeks ahead, corresponding with original due date, so I now just say I'm due in February
Total weight gain/loss: +3 (back off you haters)
Maternity Clothes: haha - love them!
Sleep: I have this awake period from about 3-4:30am every night (except for break...hmmm hint hint on possible sources of stress???) It's not fun. "real" sleep is mostly consumed with tossing and turning, but usually only 1 trip to the bathroom so not so bad.
Belly button in/out: In, but barely,
Movement: ALL THE TIME!! Obv at this point no movement would be bad. Baby is super active when i sit down for reading time at 2:15 and then when i get home and all night long.
Food cravings: Well, I was really into the chips and candies, however after a little GD diagnosis has put an end to that. If you refer to my previous post, you can imagine how that went over! Luckily I have been able to maintain my blood sugars with my diet so I am thankful to not have to do the insulin and hope it stays that way. I'm hard core.
Contractions: if I dont think so then that must be a no!
Best moment of the week: 1st baby shower thrown by my mother & a BFF - even if the cakes got mixed up - since i couldn't eat it anyway I wouldn't have cared if it said "Happy 50th Birthday Bruce!" It's so fun going through all the fun little gifts!
What I miss: uninterrupted sleep & Wednesday volleyball
What I am looking forward to: Well obviously seeing the baby, BUT not having to check my blood sugar and check it often (5x/day) ALSO eating a ginormous chocolate muffin with chocolate chips - Hello sugar coma :)
Milestones: I guess if the baby decided to be born now (please don't) I could deliver in Glencoe!

Well I must run to an FFA meeting. SInce I'm pretty much the meanest teacher ever and refused the idea of a lock-in this year, I convinced them to do pizza and bowling instead. I can't imagine my state of well being after attempting to stay up all night long...

  1. I'm still here! You'll have so much stuff to post once the baby is born...if you can only find the time. :)
